Hydroponic System Test Results

Great Big Plants Liquid compost underwent a series of tests at a BioMatrix Systems lab to determine the effectiveness of our product in hydroponic gardening. The results were outstanding and the lab has provided feedback and pictures to show just how successfully Great Big Plants tested.

Here is a picture of an Aero Garden unit using GBP to grow pepper plants. They grew so big so fast that the top had to be removed from the Aero Garden unit as it would not extend high enough. The time elapsed on the picture shows about 4 weeks of growth from seed.

The person who conducted the tests, wrote, "Well, I ran a lot of tests. I tried basically every combination you could think of. The outcome was always the same. It seems that making an ACT is just not really needed. My hopes were to brew it and form a “Super Tea” if you will. The problem is that the formula is already a “Super Tea”. Not sure how you guys formulated this stuff or what the “magic” is but it is hands down what I would call a “Fail proof” formula.

"Brewing the tea DID have positive affects but when testing what I brewed against what comes out of the bottle on the plants, BOTH plants showed accelerated growth patterns. So I am not sure what to think about that. I plan to repeat all the tests again to make sure I did not miss something but so far I saw really no advantage to brewing it except that you can make the bottle last a bit longer. I have tons of pictures to show your formula against regular brewed tea and other products. GBP won hands down in EVERY test.

"There were a couple plants that did not like GBP at full strength. When I cut the product by 50% the plants responded well. Again, not sure how you are able to make it so concentrated. I share my tea batches with neighbors as growing your own veggies is VERY popular on Nantucket Island as you can imagine. I try and get the tea as concentrated as possible so they can mix it down and it last longer. I could never come close to the concentration levels that GBP has."

Above is a root shot of what a healthy root system looks like after being on a diet of GBP for about 4 weeks in a circulating deep water culture setup. We were able to completely fill a 10 gallon plant module with roots from just one plant. After the test we literally had to pry the plant roots from plant module to get the plant out of the container.

Above is a picture using a container filled with coco chips only and GBP. The picture was taken right after the seeds of these Roma tomato plants germinated. The coco was soaked in a one gallon mixture of GBP tea before the seeds were planted. They were not given anything else.

This picture shows the growth spurt after just 29 hours. The most successful results came by using coco only as the medium and GBP. It seems since the coco contains trichoderma fungi naturally, this compliments GBP very well.
